8 Spectra of Organic Radicals

In this section, we present several spectra of radicals with different number of hyperfine splittings. Some of them include the guidelines for their interpretation.

Three types of radicals are analysed: 1) Neutral radicals, $A\cdot$ 2) Anion radicals, $A^{\stackrel{-}{\cdot}}$ and 3) Cation radicals $A^{\stackrel{+}{\cdot}}$.

They possess in their molecule an unpaired electron. In aromatic systems the unpaired electron is located in different position of the ring. The following representations are used for radicals:
